Score a match
How to use an impact player
Swap a player of the Playing XI for a substitute during the match.
Who can do this
Setting the number: the person who created the match.
Also the tournament's owner and co-organisers.
Making the swap: the match's scorers.
Before you start
Internet. A swap does not work without it.
The innings has started. See How to do the toss and choose the openers.
The substitute is in the team's squad or on the Playing XI bench. See How to choose the Playing XI.
Set how many swaps each team gets
In My Cricket, tap Fixtures I created, then tap the match.
Under Impact players per team, tap Off, 1, 2 or 3.
Tap Save.
Make a swap
On the scoring screen, tap ⋯ at the top right. The Match menu opens.
Tap Impact player. It shows how many swaps each team used. Like this: "SHO 0/1 · PAD 0/1 used".
Under TEAM, tap the batting or the bowling team.
Under GOING OUT · from the XI, tap the player who leaves.
Under COMING IN, tap the substitute. Bench players are at the top, then Squad.
Tap Bring in Tanvir Islam for Jamal Mia (your names show). You see "Tanvir Islam comes in for Jamal Mia".
The rules
Each team gets the number set for the match. The default is 1.
A batter at the crease can't go out. It shows At the crease.
The bowler can't go out in the middle of an over. It shows Bowling this over.
The player who leaves keeps their runs and wickets.
Common problems
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| "Impact players are off for this match." | Ask the organiser to choose 1, 2 or 3 in the match. |
| "All used" under the team | That team has used all its swaps. |
| "An Impact Player swap needs an internet connection." | Turn on internet. Then try again. |
| "Nobody else is in this team's squad. Add players to the team first." | Add the substitute to the team's squad. See How to manage a team and squad. |
| "The match is over." | You can't swap after the match ends. |
