How to change the bowler
Choose a new bowler at the end of every over, and see who can't bowl.
Who can do this
The person who created the match.
A scorer they invited.
The tournament's co-organisers.
Before you start
You are scoring a live match. See How to score each ball.
At the end of an over
Score the 6th ball of the over. End of Over — Select New Bowler opens by itself.
Look at each name. The line under it shows the bowler's overs and figures, like 2/4 ov · 1-18.
Tap the new bowler.
Who is on strike? opens. It says "New over. Tap the batter facing the first ball."
Tap the batter who faces the first ball. The app marks the one it expects with Expected on strike (ends changed). The other one says Swap — this batter faces.
The keys work again. Score the first ball.
Who can't bowl
Some names are grey, and you can't tap them:
Just bowled (can't bowl consecutive) — this bowler bowled the last over. A bowler can't bowl two overs in a row.
Over limit reached (4) — this bowler has bowled all their overs. That is the most one bowler may bowl in this match.
Over limit reached (3.2 of 4 ov — the part over counts) A part over counts as a full over.
Change the bowler during an over
Tap the bowler's row, under the two batters.
Tap the new bowler in the Select Bowler list.
Common problems
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| "Same Bowler" — "A bowler can't bowl consecutive overs." | Tap OK. Then choose a different bowler. |
| All the keys are grey at a new over | Tap the red bar above the keys. Choose the bowler, then who is on strike. |
| The over ended too early, by mistake | Tap Undo. Then tap Undo in "Undo Previous Over". See How to fix mistakes. |
| A bowler shows Over limit reached, but the limit is wrong | The organiser must change "overs per bowler" in the match. Then, on the scoring screen, tap ⋯ → Edit score → Refresh Match Settings. |
