How to record extras

Before you start
You are on the scoring screen. See How to score each ball.
| Extra | Key | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Wide | WD | 1 run, plus any runs the batters ran. The ball is bowled again. |
| No ball | NB | 1 run, plus the runs scored. The ball is bowled again. |
| Bye | B | The runs the batters ran. The ball counts. |
| Leg bye | LB | The runs the batters ran. The ball counts. |
Wide
Tap WD. Wide — Extra Runs? opens.
Tap Wd for a plain wide. Did the batters run too? Tap +1 to +6 instead. Example: a wide that goes for 4 is +4.
Out on a wide? Tap Wicket on this wide (stumped, hit wicket, run out). See How to record a wicket.
No ball (two taps)
Tap NB. No Ball — Details opens.
Under RUNS TYPE, tap how the runs came: Off Bat, Bye or Leg Bye. Off Bat is already chosen.
Under RUNS SCORED — TAP TO RECORD, tap the runs. Tap Nb if there were no runs. The ball is saved at this tap.
Example: a no ball hit for 4 is NB, then +4.
Run out on a no ball? Tap Run out on this no-ball. See How to record a wicket.
After a no ball, the screen shows FREE HIT — next ball.
Bye
Tap B. Bye — How many runs? opens.
Tap +1 to +6.
Leg bye
Tap LB. Leg Bye — How many runs? opens.
Tap +1 to +6.
Common problems
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| WD and NB are grey | Choose the bowler, or confirm who is on strike. Tap the bar just above the keys. |
| I tapped the wrong extra | Tap Undo. Then record the ball again. |
| I tapped B or LB inside the sheet | That records a bye with 0 runs. Tap Undo and record it again. |
| The free-hit bar is still there after a wide | That is right. A wide after a no ball keeps the free hit. |
