Tournaments and teams
How to read the points table, groups and NRR
Read the points table, split teams into groups, and understand points and net run rate.
Who can do this
Everyone can see the table.
The tournament owner or a Manager can make groups.
Before you start
A tournament with teams. See How to run a tournament.
Read the points table
Open the tournament. Tap the Standings tab. The Table opens. (The app calls the points table Standings.)
If there are groups, tap Overall or a group name, for example Group A.
Read the columns:
P played
W won
L lost
T tied
Pts points
NRR net run rate
Tap Download standings to save the table as a picture.
How points are counted
| Result | Points |
|---|---|
| Win (also a win in a Super Over) | 2 |
| Tie | 1 each |
| Loss | 0 |
| No result or abandoned | 0 |
Teams with more points are higher. With equal points, the higher NRR is higher.
NRR = (runs scored ÷ overs faced) − (runs given ÷ overs bowled), over all matches. Above 0 is good.
Only completed matches count. A live match does not change the table.
Make groups (owner or Manager)
On Standings, tap Groups.
Type a group name in the box, for example "Group A". Tap Add. Add "Group B" the same way.
Under Unassigned, tap a team. The MOVE TEAM sheet opens.
Tap the group for that team. Repeat for every team.
Common problems
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| No standings yet | No match is completed yet. The table fills in after each result. |
| A team is missing from a group | Open Groups and move the team out of Unassigned. |
| Fans see other numbers than me | Some matches are Private. Make them Public. |
