Quick answer

Why does the target say (DLS)?

Rain or bad light cut the overs. The scorer used the DLS rain rule in the app. It set a new, fair target for the shorter match.

DLS is the rain rule used in real cricket. The app works it out. Nobody types the new target.

What you see on the match page

  • At the top: Target 139 (DLS) · 17 overs.

  • On the Live tab, the overs show Overs (DLS) too.

  • DLS par score: 51. This is the score the chasing team needs now to be level. If play stops now, it decides the winner.

  • On the Info tab: a 🌧️ line, like DLS: 2nd innings 17 overs, target 139.

  • When the match ends, the result ends with (DLS).
