How to change notifications and app settings
Choose which notifications you get. Change the colours of the app. Clear saved screens.
Who can do this
Everyone. You must be signed in to change notifications.
Before you start
The CricoScore app is on your phone.
Your phone has internet (for notifications).
Open Settings
In the bottom bar, tap Profile.
Under MORE, tap Settings. The Settings screen opens.
You can also open it from Home. Tap the ⋮ button at the top right, then Settings.
Choose your notifications
Under NOTIFICATIONS there are 5 switches.
| Switch | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Push notifications | All notifications on your phone. Turn it off to stop them all. |
| Live match alerts | Matches going live, wickets and results |
| Scorer requests | Scoring, Playing XI and hire requests |
| Likes, comments & follows | Reactions, replies, mentions and new followers |
| Messages | Direct and group chats |
Tap a switch to turn it on or off. It saves at once.
When Push notifications is off, the other 4 switches are hidden.
Change the colours
Under APP, next to Theme, tap Dark or Light.
Under Accent Color, tap a colour: Teal, Green, Blue, Purple, Pink, Orange or Red. Buttons change to that colour.
Clear saved screens
Use this if the app shows old pictures or old screens.
Under APP, tap Clear Cache.
Tap Clear. You see Cache cleared.
Scores that are not sent yet stay safe on your phone. Screens and pictures load again from CricoScore.
Other rows in Settings
App Version shows your app version, for example v1.3.14.
Terms of Service and Privacy Policy open the rules on the website.
DANGER ZONE has Sign Out and Delete Account (see How to delete your account).
Common problems
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Sign in to manage notifications | Tap it and sign in. |
| "Couldn't load your notification settings." | Check your internet. Tap Retry. |
| I get no notifications at all | Turn on Push notifications. Also allow notifications for CricoScore in your phone's settings. |
| I got no alert when a match went live | Follow one of the teams or the tournament. Private matches never send alerts. |
| "Partly cleared" | Tap Clear Cache again. |
